Wild Art Sessions

With all the creativity of nature

25 British pounds
Gower Heritage Centre, Parkmill, Swansea

What to expect...

Gathering together to embrace the beauty of midwinter and the love for our Gower landscape. These shorter days invite heartfelt reflections and connecting with our natural world offers our magical replenishment. Whilst the plants slumber, we have chance to delve a little deeper into what inspires us, share stories of our collective dreams and I will make a promise to ignite your curiosities with organic mediums. We will be alternating between local ancient woodland walks and gentle mornings in the greenhouse studio... A creative space for your earthly worships and imaginings. Each session will include creative prompts, seasonal surprises and wild botanical delights. I will be hosting Wild Art Session twice a month. (Workshop plans will be announced seasonly) Here is our Winter::: Sunday 12th January - Gathering natural treasures in Ilston Woods and experimenting with oak gall inks Saturday 1st February - Landscape studies of Three Cliff Bay with pigment paints made from the local earth Sunday 16th February - Beneath the soil, lichen, moss and mushrooms Sunday 2nd March - Folklore by the fire, symbolism of the seasons and charcoal drawings Sunday 23rd March - Reflecting on the seed state and our emergence into spring In your first session, you will receive a kraft paper journal to begin your monthly entries. Plus a visual feast of natural materials and a variety of mediums. Hot drinks will always be provided. Please contact me on 07732 752650 to join the Whatsapp group, where I will announce more details before each meet up. You will need to wear winter-proof clothes and sensible shoes, and feel free to bring along your most whimsical baskets for foraged treasures!
