What to expect...

In this session we will explore the intricate beauty of creating art from autumn leaves, how to treat your paper with rust, before composing a set of prints using a steaming process. To complete your botanical experience we will also experiment with mono-print techniques and simple leaf designs while we wait for our prints to brew. Our tannin-rich leaves will be gathered from around the Heritage Centre and brought back to the studio, where the wood-burner will be lit if its a particularly drizzly day. Get ready to be awe-struck by this botanical printing process... Part science... Part MAGIC! Keep in mind, this practice will only be available for as long as there are leaves on the trees!
